Synopsis

The player treats Cole as he sings a song about his writer's block. He sings about his lack of inspiration, his self-doubt and the unhealthy habits he's developed, where he deprives himself of pleasure and continues ignoring his friends as a result of his frustration with his writer's block. At the end of the level, Logan, Hailey, and the Samurai are all present, having listened to Cole's song. They all cheer him on and compliment his performance. After the level, Paige speaks with Cole about his writer's block, as he elaborates on it, with Paige trying her best to listen to him and help him out. However, Ian emphasizes the lack of time they have to focus in on one patient for an extended period of time. Paige reluctantly listens to Ian, as Ian bids an abrupt goodbye to Cole, telling Cole that they'll check up on him later.

PaigeSpriteS.png Before we go forward, there's another type of SVT cue you'll need to know.
PaigeSpriteS.png Although SVT rhythms are usually consistent, sometimes you'll be cued to skip a beat.
PaigeSpriteS.png A red X will slide down the cardiogram with an audio cue to help you.
PaigeSpriteS.png Here's what the cue sounds like:
Rattle...
PaigeSpriteS.png Got that? Here it is again.
Rattle...
PaigeSpriteS.png Right, remember that.
PaigeSpriteS.png Let's start off with something simple.
PaigeSpriteS.png Looks like you got the gist of it!
PaigeSpriteS.png Now for something trickier.
PaigeSpriteS.png Keep the beat steady in your head, no matter what!
PaigeSpriteS.png Here we go!
If not all the beats are hit:
PaigeSpriteS.png Nice!
If all the beats are hit:
PaigeSpriteS.png Great!
PaigeSpriteS.png That patient, Cole, needs to be treated again.
PaigeSpriteS.png Good luck!
Rank screen, if level passed:
HaileySpriteS.png Wow! That was great!
LoganSpriteS.png Yeah! That rocked!
Samurai V1.png ...
Samurai V1.png Good.
Cole Spritesheet.png Well, gee, I, uh...
Cole Spritesheet.png I didn't expect to gather such an audience.
HaileySpriteS.png Encore! Encore!
PaigeSpriteS.png Okay, okay. Concert's over. Everyone back to your wards.

Rank screen, if the final beat is missed:

HaileySpriteS.png Wow! That was great!
LoganSpriteS.png Yeah! That rocked!
Cole Spritesheet.png Oh, I, uh... thanks.
[Sighing Cole sprite] I was a little shaky at the very end though...
HaileySpriteS.png Hey! It was still really cool!
PaigeSpriteS.png Feeling any better?
Cole Spritesheet.png I think so.
Cole Spritesheet.png But I still just can't focus...
Cole Spritesheet.png I want to keep making music, but, it's tough to get in the zone.
PaigeSpriteS.png I can only imagine it's hard to feel inspired in a, uh, hospital.
Cole Spritesheet.png It's just all this second-guessing.
PaigeSpriteS.png What do you think causes it?
IanSpriteS.png Hey, I think we should move on. We don't really have time for this.
PaigeSpriteS.png But maybe this is our chance to help?
Cole Spritesheet.png It's tough not to feel like an imposter. Like I'm just copying other producers...
Cole Spritesheet.png Actually, y'know, maybe you can check out this track I'm working on?
Cole Spritesheet.png Tell me what you think, and stuff.
IanSpriteS.png There's a lot of stuff to do, we need to get going.
PaigeSpriteS.png Hm. Fine. I feel bad though.
IanSpriteS.png Sorry, gotta go, we'll check in later!
Cole Spritesheet.png Oh. Yeah, for sure. See ya.
JanitorSmol.png Hey doc, quick question.
JanitorSmol.png Why does that hoodie guy's room look like some kind of vacation getaway?
JanitorSmol.png Meanwhile, my "Janitor's Office" is a broom closet with a child-size desk squeezed in it?
JanitorSmol.png I'm not trying to start trouble! I'm just asking...
JanitorSmol.png ...when the hoodie guy feels all better and goes home, can I have his room?

Lyrics

File > New, stare at nothing for an hour or two,
Drop in a beat, like a hundred other artists would do,
Click in some chords, like a hundred other artists could do, like
Probably gonna hit that "don't save changes", again
Used to write a song a day...(Used to write a song a day)
It's just that lately my perfection's in the way, of me,
and I can't make no changes to save me...

Wish I could write more, care less,
Wish I could write more, and care less,
Write more, and care less,
and care less

Sometimes I'm angry I'm not doing better
than I thought I'd do at this point
I punish myself by depriving my health
of the things that I like until I fix this
But it doesn't really help I just get more depressed
I do even less cause I can't work when I'm stressed
And ignoring my friends, means when I'm finally done,
there'll be no one left to make this all worth it...

oh I've been thinking too much
and now two hours have passed
and I've got nothing to show...
I guess tomorrow
We'll give it another go
