It introduces Swing Beats.

Synopsis

The player and Paige cooperate to treat both patients in the level, with Paige handling Mr. Stevenson and the player handling Mrs. Stevenson. In the middle of the level, Mrs. Stevenson thanks the player, before going on to say that she hasn't had a chance to talk to her husband, Mr. Stevenson, even though he's in the same hospital as her. She asks the player for help, before soon realizing that the player is unable to communicate through their screen. After the level, the player meets up with Paige. She speaks about her chest pain and the strain that's been placed on her due to no longer having a full staff, and having a much larger workload than before. Paige then asks the player for help, asking if they can keep an eye on her heartbeat.

Transcript

PaigeSpriteS.png Before we move on, there's another condition we've been noticing.
PaigeSpriteS.png I know that my elderly patient Mr. Stevenson has this type of rhythm, so you'll probably come across it.
PaigeSpriteS.png This treatment is for patients with heart block.
PaigeSpriteS.png Their heartbeats are regularly irregular.
PaigeSpriteS.png Because the heart's signals aren't working properly, the beat comes out with this uneven feel.
PaigeSpriteS.png They won't pulse out at a regular interval, like what you've been used to.
PaigeSpriteS.png Think of it almost like swing music, and hit them on the seventh beat.
If first beat is completely missed:
PaigeSpriteS.png Almost!
If first beat is barely hit:
PaigeSpriteS.png Not quite. Try it again.
If first beat is hit:
PaigeSpriteS.png Yup, exactly like that.
PaigeSpriteS.png You're getting it.
PaigeSpriteS.png Simple enough!
PaigeSpriteS.png Now, let's try a case where the seventh lands on a blocked beat..
If first beat is barely hit:
PaigeSpriteS.png Ah! You almost had it.
If first beat is hit:
PaigeSpriteS.png Nice, just like that.
PaigeSpriteS.png You're getting it.
PaigeSpriteS.png Alright!
PaigeSpriteS.png Now, finally let's go over a trickier type of heart block.
PaigeSpriteS.png The nurse will play some piano to help you. Did you know she used to be a musician?
PaigeSpriteS.png Woah, lightning reflexes!
PaigeSpriteS.png See? Not too bad.
PaigeSpriteS.png Now, for this next case...
PaigeSpriteS.png ...we're splitting up to deal with multiple patients.
PaigeSpriteS.png Don't worry, I'm handling my patient Mr. Stevenson myself.
PaigeSpriteS.png You're handling one of our newer patients.
PaigeSpriteS.png If you encounter any of these swung rhythms, you'll be ready.
PaigeSpriteS.png Good luck! See you on the other side.
[Interlude]
MrsStevensonSpriteS.png Thank you, dearie...can you do me a favor?
MrsStevensonSpriteS.png My husband, I think he's here too, in another room.
MrsStevensonSpriteS.png I'm worried about him. I usually call him every morning.
MrsStevensonSpriteS.png Um, hello? Are you able to help?
MrsStevensonSpriteS.png Oh, it seems you're only a finger...
PaigeSpriteS.png Phew. I'm back.
PaigeSpriteS.png This shift is killing me. I feel like I'm running on an empty tank.
PaigeSpriteS.png I miss when we had a full staff around here.
PaigeSpriteS.png Erk. My chest isn't feeling so hot.
PaigeSpriteS.png This is the part where Ian usually urges me to take a break. Can't afford it today.
PaigeSpriteS.png I'll drink some water and keep pushing.
PaigeSpriteS.png Hey, actually...I need a favor from you.
PaigeSpriteS.png Can you keep an eye on my heart rate?
PaigeSpriteS.png I'll be fine. (I think.) It's just...as a back-up, you know?
PaigeSpriteS.png Ian should be back soon. We just need to hold out until handover.
PaigeSpriteS.png Hm. Here comes the nurse. She's holding a phone?
RichardHughSpriteS.png ...AND I'VE NEVER HAD SUCH SHODDY TREATMENT AT ANY MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT!
RichardHughSpriteS.png IT WAS THOSE BUFFOONS! They used that phoney high-tech stuff! The music nonsense!
RichardHughSpriteS.png Someone should fire those slackers! And one more thing, when I tell...
click!
PaigeSpriteS.png *sigh* Just another day.
PaigeSpriteS.png We've got work to do. Ready?
JanitorSmol.png I know you're having fun with your techno-magic healing buttons...
JanitorSmol.png ...but who do you think is doing all the hard work caring for the patients?
JanitorSmol.png Me and the nurse have been breaking our backs all day runnin' this place.
JanitorSmol.png We're going back and forth, keeping this elderly couple fed, fixing their bedsheets, maintaining their rooms.
JanitorSmol.png Glad you guys finally showed up to do something.
