Song of the Sea (Night) (2-4N) is a level in Rhythm Doctor that uses Free Time Beats too, just like 2-4 Song of the Sea. It is the Night Shift version of Song of the Sea.

Synopsis

The player is once again invited into the cafe, this time during night hours, where they are able to play notes on a keyboard as they wish. Paige walks in, as Nicole and her briefly remark about the intern's ability to play piano. The two then discuss Paige's exhaustion and the effort she has to put in for her profession, after Nicole inquires about the work Paige has to do for hospital patients. Paige talks at length about the effort it takes to give individualized attention and care for every single patient, and how the Rhythm Doctor program struggles to solve issues of higher complexity such as addiction, which is where she can pitch in to directly help. Nicole then expresses her positive opinion of Paige and what she does for patients like her, complimenting her work ethic and care. Paige thanks Nicole, before stating that she has to leave, as the two bid each other goodbye.

NicoleSpriteS.png Well, look who it is.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Welcome back.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Make yourself comfortable. We still have that dusty keyboard. Why don't you play for us?
NicoleSpriteS2.png I'm closing up soon, so things should be chill around here.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Oh, here comes a familiar face.
PaigeSpriteS.png Hey Nicole.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Hey, doc. Dr Paige, right?
PaigeSpriteS.png You can call me Ada.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Alright, Ada. What're you having?
PaigeSpriteS.png I'll just take my usual small cappuccino. Thanks.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Comin' right up.
PaigeSpriteS.png Is that...the intern?
NicoleSpriteS.png Yeah. They're interning for me now. My new in-house pianist.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Hope you don't mind.
PaigeSpriteS.png Pretty multi-talented, huh?
NicoleSpriteS2.png Don't take this the wrong way, but...
NicoleSpriteS2.png ...you look terrible.
PaigeSpriteS.png What?
NicoleSpriteS2.png Exhausted. I mean you look exhausted.
PaigeSpriteS.png Oh, haha. Well, what else is new?
NicoleSpriteS2.png Is it really that hard? I guess that's probably a stupid question.
PaigeSpriteS.png No such thing as a stupid question!
PaigeSpriteS.png But, I mean, yeah. It's just a lot of running around.
PaigeSpriteS.png Most of the individual things I need to do for patients are pretty by-the-book.
PaigeSpriteS.png Or, at least, they used to be, before the whole rhythm method thing.
PaigeSpriteS.png Now everything's weird and we constantly improvise.
PaigeSpriteS.png But that's just the job. As long as it helps people, that's what matters.
NicoleSpriteS.png Here's your coffee.
PaigeSpriteS.png Thank you.
NicoleSpriteS.png So...music can heal people's hearts, huh?
NicoleSpriteS2.png Maybe I could be the head doctor around here, haha.
PaigeSpriteS.png Hahaha, yeah. Maybe I pursued the wrong degree after all.
PaigeSpriteS.png Could've saved myself a lot of schooling if I had known we only needed music and a single button.
NicoleSpriteS2.png The heavy bags under your eyes seem to say "My job is a lot more than just pressing a button."
PaigeSpriteS.png True. It's complicated.
PaigeSpriteS.png There's still a lot of work to do.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Like what?
PaigeSpriteS.png Well...after the treatment we gave you, did you still feel the urge for a cigarette?
NicoleSpriteS2.png Basically, yeah.
NicoleSpriteS2.png My chest felt better, but it didn't completely change everything.
NicoleSpriteS2.png I've still got a pack on me, actually.
PaigeSpriteS.png Exactly. So the rhythm treatment isn't a magical cure-all.
PaigeSpriteS.png Addiction, therapy, rehabilitation...
PaigeSpriteS.png It's all complicated. It's gradual. Healing is slow and habits are hard.
PaigeSpriteS.png Maybe someday the Rhythm Doctor method will be improved to handle those things...
PaigeSpriteS.png ...but until that day, you're all still stuck with lil' old me.
PaigeSpriteS.png Making the rounds, checking in on you, scribbling on clipboards.
NicoleSpriteS2.png Well, good thing you're a delight, then. I'd miss seeing you around here.
NicoleSpriteS2.png You've always got an eye out for us. I like it.
PaigeSpriteS.png Aw, thanks. Hopefully Dr Edega feels the same way.
PaigeSpriteS.png Back to work. See you later, Nicole. Thanks for the chat!
NicoleSpriteS2.png Any time!
JanitorSmol.png Did you know that barista girl always spells my name wrong on the cup?
JanitorSmol.png Every single time.
JanitorSmol.png I've been here for five years, and she still doesn't know my name? Geez...
