SynopsisEdit

The player and Ian cooperate to treat Mrs. Stevenson and her four birds, the Cockatiel, the Parrot, the Owl, and the Oriole. The player and Ian swap between the five patients repeatedly through the level. After the level, Ian thanks the player and claims that Mrs. Stevenson is "over-the-moon" thanks to them treating her birds. They are then able to resume our train operations as Hailey notices Cole on the train and inquires about his presence the train. He says that she snuck out in the same manner that she did, before Hailey corrects him and says that she got permission to travel. Cole then elaborates that his motivation has been coming back but that it is difficult to stay inspired in a hospital. Hailey then mentions how lucky she is to hang out with Logan in the hospital, which prompts Cole to inquire about who Logan is to Hailey, and she ends up confessing that Logan is someone she shares a mutual crush with, but that Logan is too shy to confess. Cole then suggests that Hailey drop down more obvious hints for Logan to take, before pulling out his laptop and showing Hailey a song he has been working on, to help her out with giving Logan a hint as to her romantic feelings.

TranscriptEdit

  Thanks for the help!
Mrs Stevenson is over-the-moon. I guess now we're her favorite vet's office, too?
Y-you can go back to what you were doing. Later!
(Hey...why does that guy look so familiar?)
Hi! Do I...know you? Are you from Middlesea Hospital?
  That's me.
  Wow! (What are the chances?)
What are you doing here? Were you released? Your stay's over?
Ha...not even close. I did what you did.
  Snuck out.
  I-I didn't sneak out! I got permission!
My motivation's been starting to come back, but I don't wanna wait for some boring twelve-step program.
So I figured...maybe sneaking out, getting a change of scenery, would help jolt my brain.
That makes sense. Being all cooped up in the hospital probably isn't helpful for inspiration.
It's pretty lonely in there. I'm lucky I get to hang with Logan.
  Who's that?
He's...well, um. He's just a guy. From my school.
I feel like there's more to the story than that.
We're out on a train in the middle of the desert. Spill the beans.
  O-okay, fine.
We're friends, but...it's more than that. I think he has feelings for me.
  Y'know, like...a crush on me?
Now you're a happy couple. Dope.
Well, that's the thing. He hasn't actually said it out loud yet. It's just obvious!
I feel the same way, but...
  He's just so wishy-washy!
He's always hiding what he's feeling, or thinking. He can't say it.
We've spent a lot of time together, but...I just want to get to know him more.
I don't mind waiting around, if he's shy, but...
If you want him to pick up on your feelings, you've gotta send him the vibes.
Something that forces him to take the hint.
I've got an idea. I'm pulling up a track.
  Here, take a listen.
Alright, I finally figured it out.
All these weird birds belong to that old lady Mrs Stevenson!
So they weren't wild after all, I guess? They're pets?
I can't decide if that's better or worse.

TriviaEdit

  • In-game, this level lists "Ian" as being the sole patient. This is untrue, as he is neither a treatable patient nor is he the only patient. This might be a limitation of having Ian's voice present for the level select menu. It may also be an oversight, or something done to withhold information from the player on purpose.
