== Synopsis ==

The player treats Paige, Mr. & Mrs. Stevenson, and Richard Hugh through their respective heart problems. Each patient has a singing role in the level. At the start of the level, Paige attempts to do a proper check-up of Mr. Stevenson. Her pager goes off right as she tries to resolve the miscommunication issue that has prevented Mr. Stevenson from talking to his wife, leaving the issue unresolved. This leads into both Stevensons singing about the waiting time they've had to endure in order to get help, remaining unable to see each other. Paige sings about being overworked and the miscommunication she's been having. Finally, Richard Hugh sings cynically about doctors, expressing his negative views on them, and his belief that they should receive pay cuts. Near the end of the level, Paige sings about her inability to have experienced "dinners, weddings, coffee sessions" with her friends, as a result of her medical studies and her current profession, emphasizing how her patients have "been waiting for so long." The level ends with Ian returning, an hour late to handover. Paige is initially upset until she hears Ian explain that his mother had an episode, and he attempted to call the hospital to let Paige know of the delay, but that this news did not seem to reach Paige. Paige, taken aback, apologizes and expresses sympathy, as Ian expresses gratitude for her covering his shift. The two then discuss the circumstances around Mr. Stevenson's injury, as he looks at a framed photo of his wife, still unable to communicate with her. After the level, Ian expresses gratitude toward the player and Paige, recommending that she take a break. Paige then thanks the intern, letting them know that she'll drop by the vending machine whenever they're ready.

[ADA PAIGE]
No, his lungs are fine.

*This level contains 2 separate versions; one sung in English and the other sung in Chinese.
* This the first and only boss level thus far to not feature the presence of the virus.

* The last beat of the level is impossible to miss. An easter egg occurs if the player does not manually press it.
*If the last beat is left unclicked at the ending for a certain amount of time, Richard Hugh will show up from the bottom row, ushering the player to click the button.
* The voice clip "Let's go!" in the easter egg is sampled in the song [[All The Times]].

*And if ignored and left even longer, Richard Hugh's arm will pop up from the left and immediately press the button for you, finally ending the level.

One Shift More (3-X) is a level in Rhythm Doctor.

It is the third boss level in the game. It is the first time that Paige is a treatable patient; it is also the first time that the player themself has to treat Mr. Stevenson.

Synopsis

Near the end of the level, Paige sings about the interpersonal struggles she has faced in pursuing her studies and in pursuing her career as a doctor, lamenting the missed opportunities to catch up with her friends, emphasizing that her patients have been "waiting for so long."

The level ends with Ian returning, an hour late to handover. Paige is initially upset until she hears Ian explain that his mother had an episode, and that he attempted to call the hospital to let Paige know of the delay, but that this news did not seem to reach Paige. Paige, taken aback, apologizes and expresses sympathy, as Ian expresses gratitude for her covering his shift. The two then discuss the circumstances around Mr. Stevenson's injury, as he looks at a framed photo of his wife, with a sad expression, still unable to communicate with her. After the level, Ian expresses gratitude toward the player and Paige, recommending that she take a break. Paige then thanks the intern, letting them know that she'll drop by the vending machine whenever they're ready.

PaigeSpriteS.png Hey, okay, so,

[Level outro]
PaigeSpriteS.png But they've been waiting for so

Player is prompted to hit the final beat to make Paige finish her sentence. If the beat is not hit, the following dialogue occurs:

[Richard enters]

RichardHughSpriteS.png You can do it! Come on! Hurry up!

[Richard exits]

[Richard enters]

RichardHughSpriteS.png Any time now! Come on! Let's go!

[Richard exits]

RichardHughSpriteS.png Make a move already, would you?

[Richard exits]

[Richard enters]

RichardHughSpriteS.png Oh, bloody hell, hurry up already!

[Richard exits]

[Richard enters]

RichardHughSpriteS.png Oh, come on, make your move! Hurry up!

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
[MR. STEVENSON]
I've been waiting for so long,
Waiting for my doctor to come,
These aches been going on for days now,
And I'm feeling slightly down

[PAGER]
Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep!
Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep!

[Verse 2]
[ADA PAIGE]
I've been working night and day
Haven't had a wink of sleep
But they've been waiting for so long
(I've been waiting for so long!)
And I'm the one on-call this week

[BOTH]
Heart-beat, heart-beat, heart beat, heart,
Heart-beat, heart-beat, heart beat, heart,

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Good morning Mr. Stevenson, my name is Dr Paige,
And I'm the consultant on call today
How are you?

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
Well I'm better, thank you, but it still hurts when I move

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Understandably so -
You might be getting pressure sores,
Has the nurse come to change your position?

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
No, not since the morning

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Oh dear, we'll get her here
The x-ray has come in now, and there is good news sir!
You haven't broken your tailbone and your hip is intact

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
Oh thank heavens, I don't know why I let myself fall-

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Don't worry it happens to the best of us
But more importantly, how are you feeling?

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
I-I'm okay... but

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Everything well at home?

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
I-I-I think so.. but

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Great, we'll get you discharged tomorrow then

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
But-

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Is there anything else, sir?

[MR. STEVENSON, SPOKEN]
Well y-yes... my- my-my wife hasn't called since yesterday..
We always talk once a day, and-

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
Okay. Yes. Um, of course, we will get the nurse to call her up and see

[PAGER]
Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep!

[ADA PAIGE, SPOKEN]
If she's --
Oh dear

[Verse 3]
[ADA PAIGE]
There my pager goes again!

[MRS. STEVENSON]
I've been waiting for so long...

[ADA PAIGE]
Give me strength to carry on!

[MRS. STEVENSON]
Waiting for my doctor to come

[ADA PAIGE]
Thank you sir, have a good rest-

[MR. STEVENSON]
But doc please check on my wife...

[MRS. STEVENSON]
My husband's somewhere in here too!

[ADA PAIGE]
She's just forgotten to call! OKAY?!

[RICHARD HUGH]
Don't fall for these doctors' lies!

[MRS. STEVENSON]
Please could someone help me out!

[RICHARD HUGH]
Driving around in their cars!

[ADA PAIGE]
I should've been done at six!

[RICHARD HUGH]
Doctors are taking too long!

[BOTH MR. AND MRS. STEVENSON]
Heart-beat, heart-beat, heart-beat, heart

[RICHARD HUGH]
The public deserve to have care!

[ADA PAIGE]
I'm the one that needs some HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!

[RICHARD HUGH]
Saturday pay shall be cut!

[BOTH MR. AND MRS. STEVENSON]
Heart-beat, heart-beat, heart-beat, heart

[ADA PAIGE]
Someone save me from this he-ell!

[RICHARD HUGH]
PRIVATISATION IS KEY!

[ADA PAIGE]
..Shouldn't have gone to med school

[Coda]
[ADA PAIGE]
To all my friends that I have lost,
While crossing bridges I have crossed,
Dinners, weddings, coffee sessions,
Sorry I was never there

You see, I've been on call this week,
I'm barely getting any sleep,
I'd love to catch up, I really would,
But they've been waiting for so looooong...

[Outro]

[VOICES FADE OUT]

Trivia

  • This the first and only boss level thus far to not feature the presence of the virus.
  • The last beat of the level is impossible to miss. An easter egg occurs if the player does not manually press it.
  • The voice clip "Let's go!" in the easter egg is sampled in the song All The Times.
